Kids talk fashion (sort of) on the Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica
Jules, 6: A basketball.
Whose uniform is that? "The Pistons [Jules is from Detroit]. My mom picked it."
What's in fashion today? "Basketball. Because I like basketball."
Do you play basketball? "Yeah. I scored 13 points before."
Favorite piece of clothing? "Um, red and blue."
What do you think you'll wear when you're a grown-up? "Blue. And red."

Delaney, 4 (via her mom): Lamby, her blanket.
Does Delaney like your accessories? "Yes, she likes my 'cloppy shoes' [heels] and earrings. She says, 'Will you save that for me when I'm a grown-up?'"
But for now, Lamby is number one? "It's been in every Christmas card."
How does she choose her skirts? "If it doesn't spin she'll throw a petticoat underneath. I call it the spin factor."
Is that red and blue nail polish? Where's the white? "I just sucked it off," says Delaney (she speaks!).

Is Hannah interested in clothes? "Yes, she likes to pick her own outfits. She has lots of shoes, but she prefers the Crocs because they're so comfortable."
Where does she get her fashion sense? "She likes to look in a magazine and say, 'Oh, that's Mommy!' She puts on sunglasses, 'Just like Mommy!'"
