Baby Trees

You hardly need a recipe for this, but children are always tickled to see how much broccoli looks like little trees. If you serve baby trees along with the fish sticks, your kids can use the same dip for both. (Ranch dressing works well with broccoli — and once again, it's a good way to persuade kids to eat more green stuff.)
Recipe:
Serves 4
1 bunch fresh broccoliSalt, pepper, and butter to taste
Cut the hard end off the bunch of broccoli. Then trim the bunch into individual spears, retaining as much of the green stem as you can. Steam or boil the broccoli until it's tender but still slightly crisp, about 5 minutes. Season to taste and let cool until it can be handled.
