Fantasy Island

Fairies have been flocking to this tiny, rocky isle off the southeast coast of Maine for eons. Initially drawn to the lush, secluded forests, spritely visitors now enjoy five-star accommodations handcrafted by children using twigs, berries, sticks, fallen leaves, pinecones, and other found materials. The more fairies come, the more kids like 4-year-old Olivia (at left) come too, searching for an elusive glimpse of a glittery wing or two.
