![]() Smell My Sock!
![]() This simple sachet keeps the memory of your child's once-tiny feet intact, even though those feet no longer fit in the palm of your hand. Put the dried flowers in the sock until it's about three-quarters full. Squeeze glue across the inside of the top edge of the sock and press closed (or simply omit the glue, gather the sock at the top, and tie tightly with the ribbon). Tie the ribbon in a bow near the top edge of the sock (or wherever looks right to you), so the dried flowers are just beneath the ribbon line. If you like, thread additional ribbon through the bow to make a loop for hanging. 1/4 to 1/2 cup (depending on the sock's size) dried lavender flowers (1 cup for $2, lavenderfanatic.com)
1 clean sock or bootie from your child's baby or toddler years
Tacky glue (we used Aleene's, $2, joann.com )
12-inch length of 1/4-inch-wide cloth ribbon (plus another 6-inch piece if you want to hang the sachet in a closet) classic
