In addition to the Baby Clothes Swatch Blank Book, here is another innovative way to archive those most worn (but beloved) items of your child's clothing.
Match the clothing with the appropriate photos.
Cut the fabric to fit in the sleeves, one or several swatches per sleeve. Experiment with a small piece of fabric first: Hold the fabric taut and make a small initial cut, then use the open jaw of the scissors to zip the length of the fabric. It's easiest to rip woven fabrics along the grain. If you prefer a more precise edge, draw a chalk line on the fabric and cut along it, then dust off after cutting.

Place the corresponding photo in the other sleeve on the same page. Feel free to cut the photos into shapes or, using a glue stick, mount them on fabric or decorative papers. Don't feel bound to the rectangle.
Write your memories by hand on index cards or type them into a document on the computer and then print it out, cutting the printout into strips and gluing them onto index cards. Place each card in the album sleeve on the page opposite each photo.
