Before your baby can talk (and talk back), let the joke be on him — literally.
These shamelessly easy Halloween costumes work even when he's all bundled up in a stroller or carrier — all you need is a cap and your preferred prop glued on top. (We used Aleene's Tacky Glue, $4 for 8 ounces. These are, of course, only good while your baby's still too young to pull his hat off and take a bite.
Next: The costumes
Make way for the aircraft carrier:
Land a paper airplane on the hat and attach with nontoxic glue.
She's so self-absorbed:
Attach a dry kitchen sponge to hat with nontoxic glue.
Tonight dinner's on me:
Attach a plastic entrée (hamburger dog toy, play kitchen pizza) to a small paper plate and stick on the cap with nontoxic glue.
Do you know the muffin man:
Crumple some brown paper into a ball, then paint blue dots on top for blueberries and place into the bottom half of a paper cup marked with lines, as shown. Attach to hat with nontoxic glue.
