Dress your child in a dark solid color and put glow-in-the-dark star and planet stickers (Milky Way stickers, $6, berlinwallpaper.com) all over her outfit: She's The Galaxy.
You want to dress up too? Go as Static Electricity: Put on dark clothes, attach socks, handkerchiefs, and underwear to yourself with safety pins, and use styling gel to make your hair stand up. (If you look just too frightful that way, dress your kid as Static Electricity and you go as The Galaxy.)
